Carrefour

It used to be British-owned Tesco, but they sold it to French-owned Carrefor so that they could concentrate their finances on the North American market. Apparently, the British are unaware of the existance of Wal-Mart. As expected, the building of a hypermarket has put a few of the local grocery stores out of business but interestingly enough has not really affected the neighborhood day market, which continues to thrive. These are some photos taken while out for groceries at my local Carrefor.
